1 “Why is indoor air quality so important?”

According to reports about environment health risk assessment, indoor air quality is several times worse than outdoor air quality. In general, a person needs to breathe 20,000+ times in a day. So if the air around us is polluted, it can have a lasting and devastating effect on our health. The factors contributing to indoor air pollution are respectively: a lack of ventilation (52%), indoor airborne contamination (17%), outdoor airborne contamination (11%), biomass(10%), and building materials (3%). And the sources of indoor air pollution include not only carbon dioxide that people breathe out but also pathogen microbes, gases (e.g.benzene, formaldehyde, and radon) that are created from construction and decoration materials, and dust mite. Most importantly, we spend most of our time in various indoor facilities; thus, indoor air quality must be regarded as a long-term health issue.

2 “Why is your plasma technology is different from UV(ultraviolet) light?”

Ultraviolet rays (e.g. UV-A, and UV-B rays) from the sunshine can cause short-term and even long-term damage to our eyes and affect our vision. That is why we have been told not to look directly at the sun since we were a child. And the reason why an air purifier with UV light can effectively kill bacteria and viruses is that it can continuously produce UV-C rays to disinfect the air. In terms of energy, this type of ray is much more energy-rich than UV-A and UV-B rays. But UV light is not good at disinfecting air in those areas that do not get caught in direct UV light. And it takes time for airborne contamination to be decomposed under the rays. Furthermore, UV light is not able to deal with odors and VOCs (volatile organic compounds); and for an air purifier with UV light, there is high power consumption because the emission of UV-light means high energy consumption.

3 “Does humidity can affect your system?”

Relatively few amounts of bipolar ions are produced in a moist condition. But anyway, we can customize our system according to a user’s local environment.

4 “Does your ionization tube need to be cleaned regularly?”

No doubt, a clean ionization tube can produce more ions than a dirty one. Generally, in houses or commercial buildings, ionization tubes do not need to be cleaned within the first year. But in those environments where the air is heavily polluted (e.g.

 bars, wastewater treatment plants, and garbage rooms), it is advisable to regularly monitor and clean the ionization tubes.

5 “Is it dangerous to touch the ionization tubes while they are working?”

Don’t touch the ionization tubes while they are working; otherwise, you will get hurt. Therefore, make sure to turn off the power before you touch the ionization tubes.

6 “How to check whether the purification system is working normally?”

First of all, check whether the green indicator light is still on; then check whether the power cable is completely inserted into the machine body; moreover, if you can listen to the electricity from the ionization tubes and you don’t sense that the air purifier is working normally, you might set the rotary control to first/second/third gear. 

7 “Can your plasma technology kill mold spores?”

In the air where there is a vast amount of bipolar ions, ions collide with mold spores; ultimately, this results in the oxidation of mold spores because those ions can penetrate through the cell division regions of mold spores. Therefore, our

 plasma-based air purification technology can be used to inhibit the growth of mold spores.

8 “Can you customize the size of ionization tubes according to our specific needs?”

Yes, we can set the dimension and amount of ionization tubes to meet customers’ requirements.

9 “Does your plasma air purifier damage animals?”

Not at all! animals can coexist safely with our air purifiers while they are working. By the way, our plasma air purification system can dramatically remove odors and airborne bacteria that are caused by animals.

10 “How do your plasma air (bipolar ionization) tubes work?”

A bipolar ionization tube has a complex structure. The outside component is made up of stainless steel wire, and the inside part is made up of a special glass tube as well as aluminum electrodes. This kind of design guarantees that a bipolar ionization tube can work for a long time without a break. In general, an ionization tube should generate millions of bipolar ions per cubic meter; and the average lifespan of an ion can last for 2.5 hours. When an ionization tube is massively producing bipolar ions, it can create extremely high voltage; and our ionization tubes are not only able to bear the high voltage (2.1KV~3.0KV) but also equipped with a series of protection devices; in particular, our ionization tubes have dual protection mechanisms – once ionization tube bursts, the fuse opens instantly; and the power transformer will be burned out automatically after several minutes.

11 “How do plasma (bipolar) ions kill bacteria and viruses?”

As millions of ionic clusters actively collide with airborne contaminants like bacteria and viruses, these airborne contaminants tend to become inactive and decomposed because their cell membranes, DNA, and protein are destroyed by ions. And this way is called “plasma air ionization technology”.

12 “Does your technology cause a chemical or physical reaction?”

No, our air purification technology belongs to physical disinfection methods.

13 “How do plasma (bipolar) ions generate inside your air purifier

Unter a particular voltage, we use insulators to separate the inner and outer electrodes of positive and negative ion generators to force them to discharge. Then ionic clusters like ones in nature are generated.
